... aaah, Schubert prefers the imported one. I like the important one: Better a one-year-Scotch than a twentyfive-years-Bourbon.

There was "Whiskey-Verschnitt" in the GDR. Some people liked that very much, but we had a lot Verschnitt in some fields of life after drinking it.

That was "Rum-Verschnitt", wasn´t it?
In the GDR I remember "Kirsch-Whisky" (Kiwi - the real kiwi was unknown) only.

Ok, you have right. I was not the biggest alcohol drinker in the GDR. But yes, we didn´t know the fruit Kiwi - but most of us didn´t miss it, too. We liked apples and potatoes so much.
